Fred Herbert

fred-trainerFred Herbert is the owner of PE³ Consulting.  The primary focus of his practice is helping small business owners increase the value of their business. 

Mr. Herbert has over 20 years experience as owner of various small businesses.  For the last 10 years he has been heavily involved in the Quality Industry and helped a Texas company win the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.  He has twice served as a Baldrige Examiner and twice as a Texas Award for Performance Excellence Examiner. Fred is an ASQ Certified Quality Manager, and a member of many professional associations including, ASQ (American Society for Quality), IMC (Institute of Management Consultants), AMA (American Management Association), BEI (Business Enterprise Institute), and on the Board of Advisors for the DFW Christian Chamber of Commerce..

Fred S. Herbert Receives ASQ-Certified Six Sigma Black Belt

Milwaukee, WI, October 27, 2008 — The Certification Board of the American Society for Quality is pleased to announce that Fred S. Herbert has completed the requirements to be named an ASQ-Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (ASQ CSSBB). As such, Fred S. Herbert has reached a significant level of professional recognition, indicating a proficiency in and a comprehension of Six Sigma principles and practices. Individuals who earn this certification are allowed to use “ASQ CSSBB” on their business cards and professional correspondence.

“ASQ provides certification as a way to provide formal recognition to professionals who have demonstrated an understanding of, and a commitment to, quality techniques and practices in their job and career,” explains Roberto Saco, President, American Society for Quality. “This is a great accomplishment and, although not a formal registration or licensure, it represents a high level of peer recognition.”

A Certified Six Sigma Black Belt is a professional who applies Six Sigma philosophies and principles, including supporting systems and tools in a variety of business situations. A Black Belt demonstrates team leadership and manages team dynamics in all aspects of the DMAIC model (define, measure, analyze, improve, control), understands lean enterprise concepts and uses tools to identify non-value-added activities.)
