Description: Hands-on training that is the “Drivers Ed” class for beginning computer users. Participants gain a basic understanding of hardware, software applications, and computer peripherals. This workshop explains a lot of the techno-babble associated with computers within the context of job search requirements. The first-hand experience of computer-use allows participants to develop new skills and enhance job marketability with confidence.
Suggested Length: 6 hours – plan over 1 day with a lunch break at middle of class time.

Participants gain a basic understanding of word processing and spreadsheet programs, along with fundamental knowledge of email and web browsing tools. This workshop’s focus is to assist participants within the context of current job search requirements. Actual computer applications use allows participants to develop new skills and enhance job marketability with confidence.
